According to studies, prostate cancer is the second leading cause of death among males. It’s painful, but it’s even more frustrating that so many people miss the obvious signs of prostate cancer. If someone visits the pharmacy thinking they have something else, they may end up treating the symptoms rather than the actual problem.

Please take this piece of advice to heart: if you’ve tried to treat your symptoms at home with over-the-counter drugs and they haven’t helped, don’t buy anything else before seeing a doctor.

Alright, let’s get down to business. Here are some warning signs to keep an eye out for before I go into the foods that may increase your risk of developing prostate cancer.

For men, prostate cancer is the most lethal form of the disease. Semen in the urine is a medical emergency.

No traces of blood or other pale substances should be visible in your urine.

Lack of sleep due to constant need to urinate.

Discomfort and pain make it difficult to urinate.

You’re experiencing pain and difficulty urinating because cancer cells are crowding the urethra, the tube through which urine exits the bladder.

A sudden erection in the absence of sexual arousal is a possible sign of a problem with the reproductive system.

Remember that the aforementioned symptoms are only warning signs of prostate cancer.

Only if a doctor can determine the underlying cause of your symptoms will they be able to prescribe an effective course of treatment.

Certain foods may increase your chance of developing prostate cancer.

Red meats that have been overcooked include pork, beef or cow, lamb sausages, and hot dogs.

These foods play a pivotal role in the progression of prostate cancer in men who are genetically predisposed to the disease, such as those with a personal or family history of the disease.

The book suggests that you limit yourself to no more than two eggs per week, and that number is even lower for men.

High-cholesterol and high-fat food items. Reducing your intake of cholesterol and fats is recommended if you don’t want to raise your risk of developing prostate cancer.

Researchers found that men who drank more than three bottles of alcohol daily had twice the risk of developing prostate cancer compared to those who drank less or never.

I’d rather not get into the specifics of how these foods cause or predispose to prostate cancer, and so I won’t. Follow the guidelines I’ve outlined above and limit your intake of these foods to the bare minimum.
