An official of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Usmanu Gujus, who was abducted from a Kaduna-bound train on March 28, 2022, has finally gone back home.

The man returned home amid pomp and pageantry.

Daily Trust had reported how the remaining passengers were released earlier in the week.

After their release, they were taken to Nigerian Defence Academy Hospital in Kaduna, where they received treatment. President Muhammadu Buhari also met the victims after which they reunited with their families.

As Gujus returned to Birnin Kebbi in Kebbi State, he got a heroic welcome.

NURTW officials welcomed him at Lambar Gwandu area of the state capital from where he was driven in a convoy to Kofar Kola area of Birin Kebbi.
