Who Is Melania Trump And Stephanie Wolkoff? What Happened? Incident Explained: Stephanie Wolkoff released a recording of her conversation with Melania Trump (Stephanie Wolkoff/Twitter and Melania Trump/Instagram)

Melania Trump, the former First Lady, has retaliated once more against a former friend and White House assistant, claiming that she “spitefully edited” a covert tape to make it appear as though she didn’t care about Christmas. In a statement posted on Twitter, Melania Trump said, “While I was serving as First Lady of our country, Stephanie Wolkoff secretly recorded several of our conversations”. “Wolkoff then spitefully edited and released our conversation to create the perception that Christmas is not significant to me,” she added.

According to the New York Post, Melania claimed that Wolkoff “deleted” a portion of their summer 2018 chat in which “I expressed hope to reunite families split across at the southern border.” She also claimed that this “exposes her malicious intent.” In a statement first obtained by Breitbart News, Melania added that she was going to “personally set the record straight because mainstream media has failed to provide context for these misleading exchanges.”

“Christmas is an important time for me, my family, and the American people, and my devotion to the holiday is personal and profoundly serious,” she said. In order to promote her biography, ‘Melania and Me: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady’, Wolkoff appeared on the Anderson Cooper 360 show in October 2020. This appearance is what sparked the issue, as Wolkoff provided CNN with a recording of the event. The recording captured Melania saying, “I put — I’m working like a ass — my ass off at Christmas stuff that, you know, who gives a f – k about Christmas stuff and decoration? But I need to do it, right?”

Fox News broke the exclusive story last week that Melania will be selling non-fungible tokens and limited-edition Christmas ornaments with a percentage of the revenues going toward scholarships for children in foster care. In a series of tweets, Wolkoff called the statement “mean fiction” and accused her of “capitalizing on my name to take advantage of the American people.

“She has nothing better to do than to impugn my integrity and lie again in order to sell some ornaments,” Wolkoff wrote. “SHAME ON YOU @MELANIATRUMP. P.S. I don’t lie!!!”
